How to make Bubble Tea (Bubble Lemonade) at home?
Here’s a guide on what you need to prepare bubble tea and how to make it at home. 🍹

Passion Fruit - Green Jasmine Bubble Tea
Ingredients for a 400 ml glass
- Passion fruit popping boba ~ 60 g (1 heaping scoop)
- Passion fruit syrup 25-30 ml
- Lime juice
- Ice
- Chilled green jasmine tea 250-300 ml
Preparation
- Add the passion fruit popping boba (bubble tea pearls) to the glass, draining off the liquid they're stored in. It's convenient to do this with a special spoon that also serves as a measuring spoon.
- Add the passion fruit syrup.
- Add ice to the glass.
- Pour in the chilled green jasmine tea, which should be brewed in advance.
- Add a bit of lime juice. Stir everything well with a bar spoon.
- Garnish the drink with mint leaves and a slice of lime.

Ingredients for a 400 ml glass:
- Espresso - 1 shot
- Strawberry popping boba - 50 g

- Watermelon popping boba (bubble tea pearls) ~ 60 g
- Passion fruit syrup 25-30 ml

- Carbonated or still drinking water 250-300 ml
Preparation:
- Add watermelon popping boba (bubble tea pearls) to the glass, without the liquid they're stored in. To separate the pearls from the liquid, you can use a special spoon designed for this. This spoon also serves as a measuring spoon. You’ll need about one heaping spoonful of pearls for the drink.
- Add the passion fruit syrup.
- Add ice to the glass.
- Pour in carbonated or still drinking water.
- You can decorate the drink with a watermelon slice and mint leaves.

ASSAM milk tea with tapioca pearls
Ingredients for a 400 ml glass:
Tea Base:
- 2 teaspoons Assam black loose-leaf tea (or 1 tea bag)
- 200 ml boiling water
- 1-2 teaspoons sugar (adjust to taste)
Tapioca Pearls:
- 1/4 cup tapioca pearls
- 2 cups water (for cooking tapioca pearls)
Milk:
- 100 ml milk (or milk alternative)
- Ice cubes
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Tea Base
- Boil 200 ml of water.
- Add the Assam black tea leaves to the boiling water and let steep for 3-5 minutes (depending on desired strength).
- Strain the tea leaves, add sugar, and stir well to dissolve.
- Let the tea cool to room temperature. You can also chill it in the refrigerator to speed up the cooling process.
Step 2: Cook the Tapioca Pearls
- Boil 2 cups of water in a medium pot.
- Add the tapioca pearls to the boiling water.
- Gently stir the pearls to prevent them from sticking together.
- Boil for 5-7 minutes or until the pearls are soft and chewy. (Follow package instructions if they differ.)
- Remove from heat and let the pearls sit in the hot water for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Drain the pearls and rinse under cold water.
- Optional: Soak the cooked pearls in a bit of sugar syrup or honey to add sweetness and prevent sticking.
Step 3: Assemble the Milk Tea
- Place the tapioca pearls at the bottom of a 400 ml glass.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes.
- Pour in the cooled Assam black tea.
- Add the milk and gently stir to combine.
Step 4: Serve
- Insert a large straw suitable for bubble tea.
- Enjoy your homemade bubble tea!
Peach - Oolong Tea Bubble Tea

As for which type of bubbles to use—peach popping boba or tapioca pearls—everyone can choose according to their preference. We recommend trying both options. This drink will be perfect for parties and various celebrations. Guests will surely appreciate the refreshing beverages.
Ingredients for a 400 ml glass:
- Peach bubbles or 5-minute tapioca pearls ~ 60 g
- Peach syrup 30 ml
- Ice (amount as desired)
- Chilled Oolong tea
- Honey or cane syrup as an extra sweetener if needed
Preparation: Start by preparing the tea. It's best to use loose-leaf tea for brewing, as loose tea is generally of higher quality, but tea bags can also be used. Brew the tea to your desired strength.
Choose the type of bubbles you want to use—peach popping boba or tapioca pearls made from natural starch. If you opt for tapioca pearls, we recommend using the quick-cook type (available in various flavors).
Prepare the tapioca pearls according to the instructions if you choose them.
In a glass, add the bubbles—about 1 scoop. The bubbles should be used without the liquid they come in. You can easily separate them with a special spoon that also serves as a measuring scoop (see here).
Pour peach syrup into the glass.
Add ice to the glass. The amount of ice depends on how cold you want the drink to be.
Pour chilled Oolong tea into the glass and mix everything thoroughly. It's best and quickest to stir with a bar spoon.
To enjoy bubble tea, you’ll need straws with a larger diameter than standard ones so the bubbles can pass through. The required straw diameter is 12 mm (see here).
